All welcome to Community Connect Fair Friday at the Trail mall

Free event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This all ages event features non-profits and service providers offering services to families, individuals and seniors in the Greater Trail/Lower Columbia region.

All are welcome to the Community Connect Fair, Friday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the old Zellers at the Trail mall.

“This is a free, all-ages event showcasing all the wonderful non-profits and service providers in the area,” explains Naomi Bain, Community Connect Team.

“We have 50 vendors coming to highlight all the important work that they do.”

On hand will be family/individual service providers and non-profits, such as FAIR, Skills Centre, FAN (Family Action Network) CBAL (Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy), Trail Health and Environment Program, SPCA, Rossland museum, Trail Historical Society, Red Cross, United Way, CKISS (Kootenay Invasive Species Society, Interior Health, MHSU, Métis Nation, AA, Special Olympics, and more.

As well, Minister Katrine Conroy, MLA Kootenay West, and Richard Cannings, MP, will have staff present.

“There will be senior-specific programs such as Better at Home, IHA, Cycling without Age, and Hospice,” notes Bain. “And there will be family-focused providers such as CCRR, Strong Start, the Rossland Public Library, and Sanctuary.”

Light snacks and coffee will be provided at the free to attend event.

Hot dogs will available for purchase from the Trail Legion in the parking lot.
