In Loving Memory ~

John Scott Fisher passed away on April 21, 2024. Born on July 26, 1956, John grew up in Rossland, lived in Vancouver, B.C. for many years before returning to Rossland a few years ago.

He graduated from UBC and BCIT. John had a very eclectic set of careers, including nuclear medicine, counselling and support for the gay homeless population, working in some of the best restaurants in Vancouver, and in the international travel industry.

John had a great passion for gardening and an ability to see the potential in everything, to find beauty in every corner.

John is survived by his mother, Gael Fisher of Rossland; his brother-in-law, Jim Hutchison; nephews Sam and Matt (Keriann Woodhams) Hutchison; and his cherished grand-nephew, Henry James.

He is predeceased by his father, Stan Fisher, and his sister, Jane Hutchison.

A celebration of John's life will be held on June 15, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Lily May Room, upstairs in the Miner's Hall in Rossland, where friends and family are welcome to honour his memory and share stories of his life.
